All the financial costs are paid by himself and the people who already joined in supporting this project. ![]() So he came up with the brilliant idea of creating this project! “The Ramp – Smokin’ Dudes Records” is a project where Andrei is looking for talented young artists around his town, brings them to the studio, records and films them without charging them any money. He is now proud of his hard work, but remembering every day how hard was at the beginning and how much he wishes that no one should have to take the hard steps he took. After 4 years doing this, Andrei is now collaborating with more than 10 artists in his studio, having two video editors and one sound engineer, himself being the second one. In parallel with this, he was looking to raise funds so that he will be able to buy better working station, better microphones, guitars, cameras, afford better audio/video editing programs, again a very complicated process. He created YouTube channels, Facebook pages, learned from others in the domain by seeing their posts, how they filmed their videos, made the audio mixes and in time by practicing and a lot of patience, he was able to learn how to make good quality videos. He had to learn how to use the social platforms such that they will appear as “professional artists”. After a year, he started collaborating with local young artists, such as Andreea Munteanu, Alexandra Dodoi, Beatrice Florea and Daria Bahrin. But Andrei was never the kind of guy who would let his dreams of making music fly away. ![]() No one was there to explain to him the mistakes he was making, how he could improve, what gear should he buy etc. ![]() Unfortunately, he had to learn all by himself how to record, how to mix audio, how to make videos, all of these with no background in the domains. He was 15 years old when he asked his dad to use their old garage as his working place. It all started when Andrei Cerbu, founder of “The Smokin’ Dudes Records”, started making videos on YouTube. This is about music, about teens who love music and about teens who want music to be a part of their life. Hello, This is Tames Music and we are fundraising for THE RAMP, a project of Andrei Cerbu.
